At the age of 51, eminent jewelry designer Lynn Banâstar of Netflixâs âBling Empire: New Yorkââpassed died on January 20, 2025. Her death happened several weeks after Christmas Eve emergency brain surgery after a skiing accident in Aspen, Colorado.
Lynn Ban fell face-first in a skiing accident on December 24, 2024, while on vacation with her family in Aspen. Ski patrol first evaluated her and found them free of any major injuries. However, after getting a headache, a paramedic advised her to go to a hospital for a more thorough assessment. Doctors found a brain bleed at the hospital that called for an emergency craniotomy. Ban posted her experience on Instagram thanking her family for their support and her recovery.

Sebastian, Banâs son, confirmed her death on Instagram, calling her the best mother and friend. âShe was a fighter until the end and is the strongest woman I know,â he said, stressing her fortitude and upbeat attitude during her recovery. Sebastian committed himself to seeing her legacy honored as it is due.
Born in Singapore, Lynn Ban is a renowned jewelry designer whose works grace the homes of some of the most powerful musicians and style icons worldwide, including Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Rihanna, and BeyoncĂ©. Her paintings were rather elegantly shown in big fashion publications such as Vogue, Harperâs Bazaar, and ELLE.
