Robert Pattinson plays Batman/Bruce Wayne

Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman in Matt Reeves’ film revolutionized the way audiences viewed the iconic superhero. He brings a new depth and intensity to the character, as Bruce Wayne is only two years into his crime-fighting career and is portrayed as being almost addicted to his mission.  Pattinson has had a long and varied career, having gained worldwide recognition for his performances in Twilight, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and other major blockbusters.

He has also been featured in acclaimed independent films such as Cosmopolis, The Lost City of Z, Good Time, High Life, and The Lighthouse. Zoë Kravitz plays Catwoman/Selina Kyle

Zoë Kravitz delivers an incredible performance in this film as Selina, a character that fans of the comics will recognize before she fully becomes the Catwoman they know and love. She’s a waitress at a nightclub who also does drugs and steals cats to support her habit as she searches for her missing roommate, and her interactions with Batman complicate his binary understanding of good and evil.

Kravitz has starred in several notable films, including the X-Men, The Divergent Series, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Fantastic Beasts. She is best known for her roles in the critically acclaimed television shows Big Little Lies on HBO and High Fidelity on Hulu. Steven Soderbergh’s KIMI and the films Gemini and Rough Night also include her. She is a brilliant performer whose work you should not overlook.

Paul Dano plays The Riddler/Edward Nashton

The Riddler, an iconic Batman villain, has become a notorious serial killer in this version. Striking the most influential citizens of Gotham, he live-streams his acts of terror to the world with the intention of “unmask the truth” about the city.

His signature mark is leaving riddles at crime scenes as a way to taunt Batman himself. Paul Dano’s been globally recognized for his roles in awesome films like Little Miss Sunshine and There Will Be Blood – he even got a BAFTA nomination for the latter! His other impressive credits include Looper, 12 Years a Slave, Prisoners, Love & Mercy, and Okja. In 2018, he made his directorial debut with Wildfire.

Jeffrey Wright plays Lieutenant James “Jim” Gordon

As an experienced actor with a number of prominent roles in films and television, including Felix Leiter in the Daniel Craig-era James Bond films, Beetee Latier in The Hunger Games, Valentin Narcisse in Boardwalk Empire, and Bernard Lowe in Westworld—plus recent credits including The Laundromat, The Goldfinch and The French Dispatch—Jeffrey Wright is perfectly cast as James Gordon, the Gotham City Police Department lieutenant who we know from the comics later becomes commissioner. With his commitment to rooting out corruption in the city, Gordon is Batman’s main ally against crime and injustice.

Colin Farrell plays The Penguin/Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot

Colin Farrell is one of the most respected actors in Hollywood, starring in acclaimed films like Minority Report, Miami Vice, In Bruges, The Lobster, Fantastic Beasts, and Where to Find Them, and Widows. His latest role was as Henry Drax in the BBC miniseries The North Water.  In his newest role, Farrell plays a character that has yet to reach the legendary status he ultimately achieves in comics: Cobblepot, a menacing rising crime lord who despises being referred to as The Penguin.

John Turturro plays Carmine Falcone

The notorious Gotham City crime lord, Falcone, is a reclusive figure, almost as elusive as Bruce Wayne himself. His presence looms large over the city yet he rarely appears in public.  Actor John Turturro has had a long and celebrated career working with acclaimed directors such as the Coen Brothers (Miller’s Crossing, Barton Fink, The Big Lebowski and O Brother, Where Art Thou) and Spike Lee (Do The Right Thing, Mo’ Better Blues, and Clockers). He has also starred in the hit miniseries The Night Of and The Plot Against America, as well as in films such as Quiz Show and the Transformers series.

Andy Serkis plays Alfred Pennyworth

Andy Serkis is set to bring his remarkable motion-capture talents to the role of Bruce Wayne’s butler and mentor in the upcoming Batman movie. Despite their strained relationship, Bruce remains loyal to Alfred and continually seeks his counsel. Worried about Bruce’s dangerous obsession with becoming The Dark Knight, Alfred will be an invaluable source of guidance and comfort.  Serkis is acclaimed for his revolutionary motion capture work in films like The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Star Wars sequel trilogy, and Planet of the Apes reboot series. Peter Sarsgaard plays Gil Colson

Colson, Gotham’s District Attorney, appears to be failing in his responsibility to eradicate corruption from the city. He has allowed crime bosses to go unpunished and taken advantage of his position for personal gain. This must be rectified if Gotham is to remain a safe place for its citizens.  Sarsgaard is an acclaimed actor with a number of high-profile performances under his belt, including The Man in the Iron Mask, Shattered Glass, Jarhead, An Education, and The Magnificent Seven.

Most recently he starred in The Guilty, The Survivor, and The Lost Daughter as well as having a recurring role in the Hulu series Dopesick. His talent and skill make him the perfect choice to take on the role of District Attorney and restore justice to Gotham City.

Jayme Lawson plays an eager mayoral candidate for Gotham City, determined to make a real difference with her ambitious plans to tackle poverty and corruption. She’s determined to get Bruce Wayne’s backing, knowing it’d be invaluable in bringing positive change to Gotham. An accomplished actor, Jayme Lawson recently featured in the acclaimed film Farewell Amor – an impressive testament to her talent and potential.

Alex Ferns plays Commissioner Pete Savage

Gotham City Police Department’s Chief Pete Savage is deeply wary of Batman, having been the former partner of Lieutenant James Gordon.  Renowned Scottish actor, Alex Ferns, has been widely renowned for his captivating portrayal of evil in EastEnders but has also starred in River City, Chernobyl, and The Irregulars – further cementing his status as a master of the craft.

Rupert Penry-Jones plays Mayor Don Mitchell Jr.

Incumbent Mayor of Gotham City, Penry-Jones is an experienced politician with a distinguished track record.  From his acclaimed roles in BBC drama Spooks and films such as Match Point and Vita and Virginia to his impressive turns in Silk, Whitechapel, and The Strain, he has consistently shown himself to be a capable actor. In Batman, he is battling to secure the future of Gotham City against the machinations of The Riddler – proving that Penry-Jones is the best man for this role.

Charlie and Max Carver play The Twins – Elenco de the Batman

Charlie and Max Carver join the Elenco de the Batman as The Penguin’s henchmen, The Twins. As a pair, the Carver twins have appeared in popular series such as Desperate Housewives and The Leftovers, but each has also made individual appearances in projects such as Charlie’s starring role in the play and film The Boys in the Band, as well as his recurring role on Teen Wolf.
