Just 13 days separate his death from the disappearance of his daughter, leaving the family devastated and Hannah’s hunt more pressing than ever.

The Disappearance of Hannah Kobayashi

Traveling from Maui to New York City, 31-year-old Hannah Kobayashi disappeared on November 8. She missed a connecting flight at LAX and chose to visit The Grove retail mall for an event including LeBron James. Although she returned to the airport, her family began receiving alarming and cryptic messages shortly after.

“She mentioned feeling scared and that someone might be trying to steal her money and identity,” said her aunt, Larie Pidgeon.

“Her texts were strange, talking about the matrix, which was so unlike her. Then all communication stopped.”

The last confirmed sighting of Hannah was on November 11, near the Pico Metro Station in downtown Los Angeles. Surveillance footage captured her with an unidentified individual, and she has not been seen or heard from since.
