Matthew Lillard and Mark Consuelos Join ‘Scream 7’ Cast

Renowned for his performance as Stuart ‘Stu’ Macher in the first 1996 ‘Scream’ movie, Matthew Lillard is slated to make an unexpected comeback in ‘Scream 7’. Along with Billy Loomis, Stu tormented Sidney Prescott in the first chapter before he seemed to die. The details of Stu’s comeback are yet unknown, which makes fans excited to watch how the story will play out. From his first “Scream” performance, Lillard’s career has exploded with prominent parts in the “Scooby-Doo” live-action series, “She’s All That,” and “Five Nights at Freddy’s.”

Mark Consuelos Joins the Ensemble

Besides Lillard’s comeback, Mark Consuelos has been revealed as a new cast member for “Scream 7.” Consuelos highlighted the chance to collaborate with original cast members Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox, sharing his enthusiasm about entering the franchise. Consuelos was quiet when asked for specifics about his involvement in the story, therefore encouraging rumors regarding his character’s participation.

Returning and New Cast Members

Legacy actresses Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers will be returning in “Scream 7.” Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown respectively are playing Chad and Mindy Meeks-Martin once more. In the film, Joel McHale portrays Sidney’s husband; Mark, and rookie Isabel May portrays Sidney’s child. Further cast members are Celeste O’Connor, Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, Sam Rechner, Anna Camp, and Mark Consuelos.

Directorial and Production Team

Guy Busick writes the script while franchise producer Kevin Williamson takes over as director for “Scream 7.” James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein from Project X Entertainment support the project.

Release Date

‘Scream 7’ is set for a February 27, 2026 theatrical release by Paramount Pictures.
