Internet of Things and its applications

Internet of Things technology, abbreviated to IoT, has recently become very popular in the global community. But, what is the IoT? Simply put, IoT has the ability to control and manage everything automatically. Most experts believe that this technology will revolutionize the structure of global societies in the not-too-distant future. That is why we have decided to make you more familiar with IoT and its applications in this article. To do this, we have prepared an interview with Mohammad Hosseini.

Mohammad Hosseini is an entrepreneur and crypto currency expert born in 1996 in Tehran. He graduated in mechanical engineering, but he has had the most experimental activity in the field of crypto currencies. He became acquainted with crypto currencies in 2015, and entered the market professionally two years later. Now he is the CEO and founder of Hosseini Finance complex, Wallet Center (a store of digital currencies wallets), Arz2Arz Exchange and VIP Studio.

What is the Internet of Things?

There have been unprecedented advances in technology in recent years. The trend is such that life seems impossible without the use of smartphones, Internet networks, and computers. What is the place of the Internet of Things (IoT) in this? In fact, IoT has a relatively more complex and advanced structure. IoT communicates between physical objects using sensors, software, and other new technologies. But, how does establishing this connection between objects benefit us as human beings? As mentioned, IoT has made the exchange of information between physical objects possible. In simpler terms, objects obtain certain information by communicating. The sensor carefully examines the data and finally shows a certain performance. Well, certainly using such a structure will greatly help to improve the functioning and ease of our lives as human beings.

To better understand the subject, it is enough to imagine that you live in an apartment equipped with IoT technology. By measuring the temperature of the house, the sensors decide which lighting or cooling systems to turn on to help regulate the air. So, IoT technology can finally regulate home temperature automatically, without your control and supervision, is it not interesting? Of course, this is only a small part of the capabilities of IoT technology. An analyst and trader in the IoT financial markets, IoT will cover all physical objects in the not-too-distant future. Of course, the implementation of this technology requires its own infrastructure, but experience has shown that nothing in the world of technology today is impossible and unattainable.

In what areas is the Internet of Things used?

As mentioned in the previous section, IoT technology has made communication between objects and human beings possible through the Internet. On the other hand, many companies and institutions are looking for a way to improve their speed and performance. Thus IoT technology is a good option for this group of people. In this section, we look at a number of IoT applications together.

Clothing: If you look closely, you will notice that IoT is used in some clothing. For example, some sportswear designed for fitness, provide you with accurate information about calories, heart rate, etc., or smart watches. It is interesting to note that even large global companies and institutions such as Google, Apple, and Samsung are trying to design and build products that cover IoT services. As you know, receiving and processing information in these products is done through sensors, so you can easily save a lot of energy and time using IoT.

Health and medical services: Have you ever wondered how many people die every day due to being late for hospital? IoT has largely solved this problem, but how? In fact, you can communicate remotely with a specialist doctor. Information about the patient’s vital signs is sent to the doctor automatically through sensors. You know that in a crisis, even a few seconds are critically valuable, and if you follow your doctor’s advice, you can save someone’s life. According to the research, some countries have also implemented IoT technology on hospital beds. Smart boards are designed to constantly monitor a patient’s blood pressure, heart rate, and body temperature. Nurses will be notified immediately when any suspicious or dangerous changes occur in the patient’s body.

Traffic management: According to experts, IoT has made traffic management possible in large cities, and this can be a good start for smart cities. Apps like Google Maps and Wise communicate with each other using IoT technology. In fact, IoT technology provides practical information that allows you to choose more secluded driving routes.

Fleet Management: It is interesting to note that IoT is also used in naval management. In this way, experts use sensors to communicate between the ship, the driver, and the cargo manager. Details of all information are provided to the driver and management instantaneously through software. If the fleet has a technical problem for any reason, the software immediately alerts the driver. In general, then, it can be said that fleet management seems easier with access to accurate and practical information provided by IoT.

Agriculture: IoT has provided a platform by which you can use technology to identify the weaknesses of the agricultural industry and ultimately minimize them. Using its sensors, IoT provides farmers with accurate and specialized information about farm soil. Since soil is one of the main and influential factors in the agricultural industry, farmers can easily grow better quality crops on their farms by modifying it. According to the research, IoT identifies all the information about moisture, pH, nutrients, and chemicals in the soil and guides them on how to use it to irrigate their crops. In addition, it determines the best time to plant and harvest farm produce.

Hoteling: IoT technology has brought about interesting changes in the hotel industry. For example, some hotels send electronic keys directly to travellers. In fact, IoT intends to use technology to minimize interaction between people and, at the same time, improve performance significantly. IoT software makes it easy for travelers to compare the location and facilities of different hotels, and they can choose the best option according to their taste.

Smart grid and energy reduction: Experts more accurately control and manage the power distribution process by placing sensors in meters. IoT has minimized the time required to investigate and resolve network problems by establishing direct communication between users and administrators. Therefore, it can be said that communication and information exchange is one of the main reasons for improving the performance of systems equipped with IoT technology.

Water storage: Water shortage crisis is known as one of the main problems in the world today. IoT technology has even made great positive changes in societies. Water meters equipped with IoT analyze the situation by carefully examining consumption patterns. Finally, they identify and report problems and defects in the water supply system. In this way, the solution proposed by the authorities to improve the situation and solve the problem will be implemented much faster than normal.

Closing remarks: Now that you are more familiar with IoT technology and its applications, what do you foresee for it? IoT has a very high potential and can easily disrupt human life. However, it has recently become popular in various societies and is still in the trial and error phase. The world today may not have the infrastructure to implement IoT technology, but the situation will change completely in the future. Therefore, take seriously the high capability and bright future facing IoT technology.

Summary: IoT was created to make people’s lives easier and to help them in time of crisis. There is a bright future ahead for the IoT. This article examines the IoT and its applications. So, do not miss the rest of this article.
